He was loved and cherished by many people including: his close friend Kelly Kiss (Hummel); his children, Chelsea Kiss (Scott Bylsma), Devon Kiss (Taryn) and Aaron Kiss (Brooklynn Gough); his grandchildren, Lennon, Spencer, Ryker and Addison; his parents, Alex Kiss and Anita Kiss; his siblings, Susanne Wallwork (Andrew), Brian Kiss (Roxanne Edwards) and Adam Kiss; his parents-in-law, Helen Hummel (late Henry) and Chris Hummel; and his siblings-in-law, Julie Geddes, Rick Hummel (Stacey), Mike Boven (Shirley Ann), Laurie Wilts (Richard), Casey Boven (Melissa) and Kelly Boven (Brett). He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, a trust fund will be set up for Dan's grandchildren.
