He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Sandi; his father William Burns; his children, Drew, Kam (Taylor) and Ashleigh; his grandfathers, Lilliana (Alex), Bentley Travis, Neveah Lesage-Rosewell, Zoey, Cassy and Jackson; his mother Lois Burns; and his brothers, Paul (Margaret) and Doug. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Scouts Canada's No One Left Behind fund would be appreciated.
