He is survived by: his wife Heather; his son Matthew; his grandchildren, Jordan and Makenna; his daughter Erin; his granddaughter Maya; his niece Kristin (Ryan Ball); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Ethan and Kyle; his brother-in-law Paul Ross (Ruth Mercer Ross); his niece Jennifer (Mark McDougall); and his great-nephews, Charles and William.

Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the A. Millard George Funeral Home (60 Ridout St S, London, ON N6C3X1).

For those who wish to make a memorial donation in memory of David, the family asks you to consider the St. Joseph's Healthcare Foundation, the Metropolitan United Church Foundation, or the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada.
