He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Motherwell and George Motherwell. He is survived by: his wife Karen; his children, Jessica, Micol Cottrell, Laura, Zeb Demaiter, Julia and Shawn Smith; his grandchildren, Oscar, Henry, Joseph, Mabel and Daisy; his sister Diana; his sibling's children, Kathy Babb (Nigel) and Matthew Motherwell (Laura); and his sister-in-law Hilary.
