He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonardo Martinez and Gladys Quintanilla; and his brother Hugo. He is survived by: his wife Maria Aracely Quintanilla (Flamenco); his children, Kirio and Wendy (Maxwell-Smith); his son-in-law Christian; his grandchildren, Edward, Selena, Cyrus, Caleb and Cienna; his great grandchildren, Kayson and Rhylen; and his siblings, Salvador and Eda Martinez. He is also survived by many family members and friends.
