He was predeceased by: his wife Susan Barbara Shuttleworth; and his parents, James Edgar "Ted" Shuttleworth and Gladys Ethel Shuttleworth. He is survived by: his children, Christopher (Alecia) and Kimberly; his grandchildren, Rylan and Peyton; his daughter Catherine Beynon (Jeff); his grandchildren, Hayden, Adeline and Clara; and his siblings, Marilyn Mackay (George), Kallie Miller, Gordon Shuttleworth (Patricia) and Nancy Mroz.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Metropolitan United Church Memorial Fund in his name.
