She was predeceased by: her spouse Cornelis De Jager. She is survived by: her children, Heidi Wilmot-Smith of Brantford and Eardley Wilmot of Toronto; her grandchildren, Taryn Victoria Smith (Tracey), Sasha Melnik (Adam), Gigi of Jacob, Jack, Sarah and Laurence; her siblings, Gunther, Renate and Erich; her stepsons, Michael, Richard and Robert; and her stepgrandchildren, Meaghan, Ryan and Michelle.

Despite overcoming so many challenges in her life, Covid 19 was an adversary she was unable to contend with despite having had three vaccinations.
