She was predeceased by: her parents, Mervin Hanson and Alma Hanson (Muxworthy); her sister Eileen Balogh; her mother-in-law Ila House (Mathewson); her siblings-in-law, Lynn Mathewson and Pat Mathewson; and her aunt Hazel Blake.

She is survived by: her husband Donald Mathewson; her sons, Darrin (Leila) and Derek (Robin); her grandchildren, Logan, Briar, Kaley and Nolan; her sister Helen Reay; and her brother-in-law Ken Mathewson.
