He was predeceased by: his son-in-law Vern Schweig; and his siblings, Len Cowie, Vera Frederickson, Doris Johnson and Marion Griffith.

He is survived by: his spouse Pauline; his children, Wendy Schweig, Kimberley Lumpkin (Ken) and Tracey Cowie; and his siblings, Eileen Pitre (Rene), Lloyd Cowie (Diane) and Rita Allan.
