She was predeceased by: her father George Earhart of London, Ontario.; her former husband William Mitton; and her husband James Johnston. She is survived by: her mother Muriel Read; her siblings, Lorraine Henry of St. Thomas, ON, Avis Van Amerongen (Wayne) of London, ON and Dale Earhart (Supawan) of Exeter; her grandchildren, Stoan Mitton of Iona Station, Alicia Ranieri-Mitton (Carson) of Sarnia, ON, Kailley, Kierra and Kyle Mitton of London, ON; and her great grandchildren, Arlo and Melody Payne of Sarnia, ON. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 30th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home (1997 Dundas St, London, ON N5V1P6). A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 30th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Elaine's honour can be made to the Alzheimer Society or Mental Health Association as a continuance of her legacy.
