“Elaine, whom we knew as "Lannie" was my mother, Zaida Rankin's dearest friend since they were small children. She was a part of our lives from the very beginning. I loved to talk travel with Lannie and have shared all of my recent adventures, both on the phone and through email, and she has regaled me with wonderful tales of journeys from her past. We had kept in touch since Zaida's passing and I have cherished the time that I had with this most remarkable woman. She will be missed!”
