He was predeceased by: his spouse Marija Koncan; his brothers, Joze (Danijela) and Ivan; and his grandfather Tone. He is survived by: his children, Michael Koncan (Tatjana), Mary Ann Wolff (Dieter), Cathy Krzic (John) and Tony Koncan (Pam); his great grandchildren, Owen and Charlotte; his siblings, Mici Mencin (late Tone) and Mihaela Hauptman (late Joze); his sister-in-law Vida Koncan; and his friend Slovenia. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
