He was predeceased by: his wife Cathy Esseltine (Calhoun); his sibling Orlie VandenBrink (Joe); and his parents, Joseph Esseltine and Beatrice Esseltine (Baigent). He is survived by: his siblings, Bonnie Tait (Bill), Josie Comfort (Chris) and Steve (Judy). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and one great-great-nephew.

“So sorry to read of Frank’s passing I’m a distant cousin I have thought about the family off and on. I remember when I was young visiting Joe and Beatrice when they lived on Hamilton Rd in London that time there was only Orlie and Frank. Then I remember them visiting with my parents in Brownsville. Their names were Ken and Evelyn McLean. Also remember visiting at the Esseltine picnics. I live in Tillsonburg. Joe and Beatrice are buried in Delmer cemetery close to my parents. Pleas accept my sincerest sympathy in the death of your father. He was so young. Well to me he was I will soon be 81. My sympathy to all of the family.”
