He was predeceased by: his parents, William and Mary; and his brothers, Joe, Tony, Vincent and John.

He is survived by: his children, Bernard, Kevin (Karleen), Helen and Patricia; his grandchildren, Heidi, Fabian, Thor, Maggie, Connor and Liam; and his great grandchildren, Moses and Charlie.
