She was predeceased by: her parents, Betty and Trevor. She is survived by: her husband Dr. Bruce; her children, Lindsay and Brent; her grandchildren, Ian and Mallory; and her siblings, Kim and Ron.

Gails' giving nature provided her tissues for donation to the Trillium Gift of Life Network.
