She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Norris and Gladys Norris; and her sister Olive Armstrong of Guelph. She is survived by: her husband James Barrie Elgie; her son David; her daughter-in-law Shonna; her grandson Connor; her brothers, Robert Norris (Marion) of Fergus and Stan Norris (Mary) of Conestogo; and her sister-in-law Betty Brett (Philip) of Orangeville.

“Barrie - I just learned that Gail has passed away. I am so sorry for your loss. She was a wonderful person. I remember stayng at your farm - played dress up with her high heels and learned to love the piano. Gail wrote such a wonderful eulogy for my mother, Amy Cawthra.. Roger and I will make a donation to the Terry Fox Fdn in her honour. . We are now living in our new home on the Mill St property in Elora. I know that you and your family will have many loving memories. Brenda Chapman”
