He was predeceased by: his father-in-law Peter Black. He is survived by: his wife Laura; his children, Hannah, Kayla and Ryan; his parents, John Gillis and Annette Gillis; his sister Lisa; and his siblings-in-law, Greg (Moffatt), Roger Black (Elizabeth) and Nicole Black-Morel (Matthew). He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
