He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Ann (Nancy); his parents, Fredrick Blumson and Ruby Blumson; his son Jeffrey Blumson; his grandson Zachary Blumson; his sister Rose Marie Giffen; his in-laws, Antonia and Dirk Pietersma; and his siblings-in-law, Robert Pietersma, Norm Giffen, Barbara Gibb and Patrica Pietersma.

He is survived by: his children, Pat Cleary (Kevin), Gregory Blumson (Chantal) and Leslie Pommer (Steven); his grandchildren, Derek Cleary, Cassandra Blumson, Mikaela Pommer-Herba (David), Matthew Blumson (Santana) and Joshua Pommer (Christina); his stepgrandchildren, Sarah Jackson (Devon) and Christopher Cochrane (Jessalynn); his siblings-in-law, Richard Pietersma and Beth Pietersma; and his nieces, Janet Seim, Nancy Clayton, Kim Lang and Dawn Jackson.
