He was predeceased by: his wife Marian; his former wife Elizabeth "June" (Renaud); his grandson Martin Patrick Hettwer; his parents, Violet M. Medland (Wimperis) and Beverly John Medland; and his siblings, Elizabeth Miller (Betty), Donald, Charles (Bud) and Harold Medland (Pete).
He is survived by: his daughter Patricia Hettwer (Martin); and his grandchildren, Alicia (Alex) and Mark Hettwer.
