He was predeceased by: his parents, Elva Springer and Raymond Springer; his daughter Debbie Bierling (Bob); his grandchild Allison Bierling; and his brothers, Billy Springer and Dale Springer.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his children, Wayne Springer (late Sherree) and Kim Forster (Jason); his stepchildren, Joseph Jaeckel (Olga) and Ann Davis (Jeffrey); his grandchildren, Amy Morrison, Courtney Kuizenga, Corey Springer, Jaylyn and Melody Forster; his stepgrandchildren, Hannah and Lauren Davis; his great grandchildren, Cameron, Carter Morrison, Kai-Lyn Springer and Logan Patterson; and his brother Bob Springer. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or to St. Lawrence Presbyterian Church (910 Huron St, London ON N5Y 4K4).
