He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley Hind and Connie Hind; his brother Bob; and his parents-in-law, Jack and Mary Lou Kerr.

He is survived by: his significant other Nancy; his children, Emily Hind and Richard Hind (Jen); his grandchild Parker Hind; and his brothers-in-law, Jim (Helen) and David Kerr. He is also survived by cousins and even a couple of friends.
