He was predeceased by: his spouse Shirley James; and his siblings, Dorothy Wagner (Harold), Ronald James (Florence), Marion Morlock (Charlie) and Shirley Smith (Bev).

He is survived by: his daughters, Lori Diane Champagne of London and Kathi Ann James (Blake Palmer) of London; and his grandchildren, Renee (Wade), James Champagne (Melanie), Cliff and Reid Palmer (Tammy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
