Graham David Hawksby Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Graham David Hawksby (London, Ontario), born in York, Yorkshire and the Humber, who passed away on November 18, 2020, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Graham emigrated to Canada when he was 17 and had a life that incorporated a multitude of experiences including time as a police officer, bank teller, candy maker, owner/operator of a carpet cleaning business, purchasing manager, as well as many others . Graham loved cruising and ballroom dancing, and spent several years as a long haul truck driver which enabled him to indulge in these passions with his wife, Nancy. He had a wonderful sense of humour and an amazing capacity to help others in need. Graham is survived by his wife, Nancy Downard, his 3 children from a previous marriage: Jeannie, Roberta and Phil; 3 step-children; Ryan (Deb), Krista and Jamie (Scott), grandchildren Carissa, Isabella, Austin, Alexandra, Peyton and Killian, sister Jean (Paul) and brother, Richard (Rose). Cremation took place as per Graham’s wishes. A private, family Celebration of Life was held.
