He is survived by: his wife Renate Thiel; his children, Belinda Hammoud (Ali), Glenn (Suzanne Vezina) and Sylvia Hammoud (Azmi); his grandchildren, Yannick, Sean, Perry (Liza), Adam (Michelle), Leanne, Marcus (Morgan) and Chad; his brother Erich Maya (Marie); and his sister-in-law Ilse Brake (George).
