Hans Schmidt Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hans Schmidt in London, Ontario, who passed away on January 1, 2021 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Paula Schmidt; his son Arnold Schmidt; his parents, Arnold Schmidt and Nelli Schmidt; his siblings, Ilse-Maria, Michael Schmidt (late Christina) and Harry Schmidt (late Agnes); and his nephew Harry Schmidt Jr..

He is survived by: his children, Carola Mask (Jim) and Roswitha Schmidt of Zurich; his grandchildren, David Morel (Cassandra), Andrew Chiu of Timmins, Cassi Mask-Wildman (Bryan) and Kimberley Mask of London; his great grandchildren, Charlotte, Errol and Cedric; his nephew Ivo (Catherine); his children, Marita and Tristan; his niece Ingrid (Henry); and his great-nephews, Carlo of Toronto and Anton of Toronto. He is also survived by many relatives and friends.

Due to the Covid pandemic, a memorial service celebrating his life will be scheduled at a later date.
