He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles T. Homer and Annie Homer; his siblings, Dorothy Drummond (Howard), Donald Homer (Emma), Shirley Aiton (Billy) and Mabel Ring (George); his brother-in-law Harold Holmes; his niece Elizabeth Jardine; his cousin Eric Homer of Birmingham, UK; his father-in-law Elmer Dow; and his nephew Adam Dow.

He is survived by: his wife Joanne Dow; his son Mark Homer; his daughter-in-law Alyssa Chrastina; his daughters, Karen Homer (Hugh Schomburg) and Hilary Homer (Paul Smith); the mother of his children Judy Wood; his sisters, Doris Holmes and Sandra Forgrave (Otty); and his mother-in-law Mary F. Dow. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and their children and grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Westview Funeral Home and Cremation Centre (709 Wonderland Rd, London, ON N6H).
