Our high-school orchestra performed at Mozart's birth place in Salzburg in 1977.. under his direction.. I have looked back on that experience with appreciation for the last 50 years. “My deepest condolences to Henry’s family and extended family, of which I am sure there are many. Like Jeff, in the previous message, I was a new teacher at Laurier SS and Henry was on staff. He was a model and mentor to all. Everybody loved and respected Henry and his commitment to the Music Program and the students in the Music Council and the general school population was legendary. “Mr Boldt was my music teacher from 1989 to 1994 and he quickly became one of my favourite teachers at Laurier. He had an infectious smile and it was that smile that always greeted us for those very early morning orchestra practices. So many great memories of the Europe trip, high school music exchange to New York, and many Kiwanis Festival competitions, thanks to Mr. Boldt. He will be dearly missed but his influence on his students and his community will continue.”

“I joined the staff at Laurier S.S. aka 'Ramland' in September 1989. I was blessed to meet one of the founding staff early on in my tenure there, Henry Boldt. I was the rookie Auto Mechanics teacher and Henry was the wise 'sage', who knew his school community well. He graciously took me under his wing, offered insight and perspective when needed, but never pushed it on me. He was loved by many and it was easy to see why, he loved his students. Well done Henry!
