She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Wolfgang Voelsgen; her child Elke Rehfeld (Heinz); her grandsons, Robert Rehfeld (Thip) and Andreas Rehfeld (Jasmin); her great grandchildren, Felix and Lukas; her sister-in-law Anneliese Voelsgen; her nieces and nephews, Hans "Joe" Voelsgen, Bernie Voelsgen and Mhairi Voelsgen; and her great-niece Julie Mansell.
