He is survived by: his children, Deedra, Chalandra and Vada; his grandchildren, Kason and Aveya; his brothers, Leon, Jerry and Donald; and his aunt Beatrice Smith. He is also survived by several cousins and friends.

“Irving entered my life at a very formative age. I was a young insecure kid who wanted to learn how to defend myself. He trained me, showed me I had that in me, and pushed me to be a strong person. He was dedicated to helping me on my journey and was present through a lot of my highschool years. I still remember him insisting he walk on the outside of the sidewalk and me on the inside to protect me. Thats the kind of man he was and he instilled those values in me. Rest in peace Irving. Too easy!”
