He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Whyard and Mary Whyard; and his sister Elizabeth "Betty" MacDonald. He is survived by: his children, James Whyard Jr., Cathy Morton (Chris Morton), Jennifer Whyard-Campbell (Steven Bolan), Jason and Angela Whyard; his grandchildren, Tiana Bow, Payge Whyard, Jessica Bow, Madison Morton and Aiden Bolan; and his close friend Buddy.
