She was predeceased by: her husband Michael David Bowers; her parents, Taverno "Terry" Martini and Lilia Martini; and her brother Ronald John Martini. She is survived by: her children, Tara Bowers (Rene Vanheule) and Jaye Michael Bowers; her granddaughter Rosetta Vanheule; and her brother John Terry Martini. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in Janie's name are encouraged to consider any of the places engaged in addiction research, the Canadian Lung Association, London Health Sciences Foundation, the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), or the building fund for St. Peter's Cathedral Basilica.
