She was predeceased by: her spouse Kenneth Burt; her child Gary Burt (Cindy); and her grandchild Andrew Burt. She is survived by: her child Brian Burt (Anna); her grandchildren, Naomi Moore (Dave), Jessica Burt (Mandy), Leanne Burt (Alex Dahl) and Christopher Burt; and her great grandchildren, Madigan, Callie and Maxwell Moore.

“To the Burt Family, We are so sorry to hear of Aunt Joan's passing. It has been a long while since the western Holder family had a chance to see Aunt Joan what with having moved to Calgary many years ago. It has been our pleasure to see Gary and Family and Brian and Family on several visits to the "West". There are so many fond memories of family get togethers when we did visit London and now with only so few "Holders" remaining we must gather those memories and lock them in our hearts forever. We wish the entire Burt family, and especially Brian, our heartfelt condolences and love in this time of sorrow. We send virtual hugs to all. Brenda Lee (Holder) and Jeff Gilbert”
