He was predeceased by : his parents, Fredrick Guthrie and Phyllis Guthrie; his former life partners, Carol Setchell and Doreen Guthrie; his wife Deborah Guthrie; and his son John Andrew Guthrie.
He is survived by : his brother Ross Guthrie; his children, Gordon Alexander Guthrie and Kimberley Michael (Louis); and his grandchildren, Andrew, Anthony Wright, Katie Guthrie, Michael Doherty, Brittany Doherty, Rebecca Lewis, Madison Guthrie, Kyle Guthrie, Carol-Ann Guthrie-Alride, Jocelyn Guthrie-Alride and Elizabeth Michael. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
