With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Arthur Ernest Matchett of London, Ontario, who passed away on January 3, 2022 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Matchett and Clara Matchett (Daigle); his wife Elizabeth "Yvonne" Matchett; and his siblings, Arnold, Howard, Marie Cabel and Florence.

He is survived by: his sons, Rickey (Harumi) and Ernie Jr. (Regina); his granddaughters, Kaitlin and Meghan; his pet Toby; his siblings, Bert (Doreen) of Miramichi, Herbie (Sheila) of Mississauga Ontario, Elton (Dianne) of Miramichi, Joan LeBlanc (Blair) of Saint John, Delima Sargent and Joanne Bechard (Raymond); and his nieces, Teri Arsenault (Joe) of Miramichi, NB and Mary Anne (Jeanne) of Miramichi, NB. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
