He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Désilets and Alice Désilets; his brothers, Remi (Cindy) and Raymond (Diane); and his parents-in-law, Jim and Jacqueline Clark.

He is survived by: his wife Margaret; his son Michael (Nella); his grandchildren, Lauren, Ethan, Paige and Sienna; his son Mark (Karen); his grandchildren, Finn and Isla; and his siblings, Ivan (Janet), Donald (Beatrice), Denis, Diane (Norman) and Jo-Anne (Johanne). He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
