She was predeceased by: her significant other Seranus "Snoop" Shepherd; and her stepdaughter Jen Marie Currie. She is survived by: her stepsons, Mark Shepherd (Colleen), Kevin Shepherd and Darren Shepherd (Shelley); her siblings, Jim Thorndycraft (Martha) and June Heider (Gerard); and her grandchildren, Joshua Shepherd, Caitlin Shepherd, Katryna Shepherd, Dominique Currie, Kirk Currie, Matthew Shepherd, Emily Shepherd and Thomas Shepherd. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
