With heavy hearts, we announce the death of June Eleanor Smibert (London, Ontario), who passed away on December 27, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let her loved ones carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though June may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her husband Ross Bannerman Smibert; her parents, Arthur Boyce and Mabel Boyce; and her siblings, Bill Boyce and Lorraine Johnston.
She is survived by: her son John Smibert (Mary); her grandchildren, Emily and Ian (Marika); and her pet Waffles. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, extended family.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 27th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Remember Forest Lawn Funeral Home - Talbot Lounge (2001 Dundas St, London, ON N5V1P6).
June and Ross were inducted into the St. Jospeh's Healthcare Foundation's, "Hall of Heroes".
