He was predeceased by: his mother Hazel Waite; his in-law Helen Walters; and his siblings-in-law, Darryl and Janice. He is survived by: his significant other Wendy (Walters); his daughters, Carrie (Dan) and Nicole (Steve); his grandchildren, Samantha, Isaiah, Jacob and Atticus; his sister Ann Marie (Phil); his siblings-in-law, Harvey (Janice), Rick (Susan), David (Janice), Karl (Glen), Cheryl (Ken) and Denise (Craig); and his friends, Gord and Sheila McMurray. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
