He was predeceased by: his father Jesse Christensen; and his mother-in-law Hanni Olsen. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia (Olsen); his daughters, Sonja Christensen of Kitchener and Heidi Christensen (Scott McCarthy) of Waterloo; his grandchild Anders; his mother Jean Christensen (Gibson) of London; his brothers, Bob Christensen (Mary Jane) and Glen Christensen (Jane) of Cambridge; his father-in-law Willy Olsen; and his siblings-in-law, Monica Clark (Olsen) and Eric Olsen (Lori). He is also survived by many cousins, aunts and uncles and his nephews and nieces.

Donations may be made to National Service Dogs or the Mennonite Central Committee as expressions of sympathy.
