She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Douglas Minzen; her parents, Vera Newcombe and Donald Newcombe; her stepmother Leona Newcombe; her daughters, Krista Hamstra and Tanya Dinsmore (Steve); her grandchildren, Amanda and Ben Dinsmore; and her siblings, David Newcombe (Janice), Daniel Newcombe (Brenda) and Susan Legree (Thomas). She was also cherished by her many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
