We are sad to announce that on January 4, 2025, at the age of 83, Lynda Shaw (London, Ontario), born in Strathroy, Ontario passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lynda Shaw to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Shaw; her parents, William Gates and Marion Gates (Campbell); and her siblings, Duncan Gates and Sheila Whitney (Gates).

She is survived by: her niece Charlene Murray (Barry); her sibling's children, Ronald Gates and Leanne Burr (Gates); her stepson Eric Shaw (Marianne); her stepgrandchildren, Amanda Tanguay (Justin) and Andrew Shaw (Denise); her daughter Maria Mader (Dan); her grandchildren, Jason (Sadie), Benjamin (Alyshia), Anne Marie and David (Nicolle); and also Mackenzie. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations to Animalert Pet Adoptions (https://www.canadahelps.org), London Humane Society or a charity of choice are appreciated.

“Lynda and Bob were great friends since we first met on a tour of Australia in 1992. We have enjoyed her company here in the UK and when we visited Canada in London, Ontario. We have been corresponding by email regularly in between visits and have only just found out why she had not replied to our emails this year. She was a lovely person and we will miss her terribly.
