Mariela Smith Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mariela Smith of London, Ontario, who passed away on September 8, 2020. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Juan Evangelista and Benedicta Cortes; her siblings, Maria Theresa, Jorge of Bogota, Jesus of Bogota and Colombia; her brothers-in-law, Philip Edmund and Bernard Clarence of Teviotdale; and her aunts and uncles, Maria Magdalena, Ramona, Rosa Cortes, Juan, Luis Cortes (Haydee) and Colombia.
She is survived by: her husband Patrick Francis; her daughter Theresa Marie (Robert Tate); her granddaughter Ava Marie; her sisters, Clara of Mogica and Marina of Ruan; her sister-in-law Joan Marie Sassano of Chicago, Illinois.; and her friends, Teresa, Jose Aquirre, Angelica, Stan Gonsalves, Veronica, John Gonsalves of Brampton, George Aquirre of Ottawa, Carmen Perez, Josephine, Jose Gigante of London, Zoila Solano and Toronto.
Due to COVID -19 restrictions as per the Bereavement Authority of Ontario a limited number of people are able to attend each visitation and service.
Donations to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul of London would be appreciated.
