He is survived by: his wife Vivian Harris; his siblings, John Travis (Brenda), Glenn Travis (Marcia) and Eileen Travis; his stepchildren, Cindy Harris (Mark Spurr) and Timothy Harris (Lindsey); and his grandchildren, Sophie and Adam.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 3:30 PM at the Woodland Cemetery (493 Springbank Dr, London, ON N6J1H3).

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, in Melvin's memory.
