She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Braakman and Nel Braakman (Née Bos). She is survived by: her husband Nico Tessel; her daughter Natasja Israels (Marty); her grandsons, Liam and Evan; her son Patrick Tessel (Sue); her grandchildren, Matias and Melia; and her son Quido Tessel (Tetyana).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the St. George Parish (1164 Commissioners Rd W, London, ON N6K1C7). A reception will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Peter's Cemetery (806 Victoria St, London, ON N5Y4E1).
