He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Bonifacio Ignacio and Maria Ignacio; his brother Fernando; his former wife Julieta Consuelo Dela Cruz; his children, Olivia (Bernard) and Oliver (Mae); his grandchildren, Jessica, Ethan, Jazleene, Maliya, Arkin and Maebelle; his siblings, Teofisto, Nenita, Peter, Joel, Yolanda and Romeo; his close friend Marietta Asuncion; and his pets, Rafa, Poochi and Obi. He was also cherished by his many nieces and nephews.
