“I just saw Steve while at the university doing a workout. He told me the news. I can't believe it. We three met in September 1973 at a cross county meet during our first year of high school. Over the next 5 years we often competed against each other at cross county and track meets. Since that time we have often seen each other at road races and other events. I am so sorry about this devastating news. So many will miss Pat, especially Steve and the rest of you siblings.”

“Several years ago, I experienced severe nerve pain which necessitated an emergency hospital visit. The pain was almost intolerable and nothing seemed to help. My son who was a friend of Patrick’s but living in California called him to ask his advice. The next day Patrick came to our home and with a few gentle manipulations erased my pain!
