He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert James and Laura Rosalie Carey (Masse); his sisters, Rosalie Carey, Theresa Carey, Irene Micallef and Charles Micallef; and his nephew Brian Girard.
He is survived by: his siblings, Margaret Girard of Windsor, Donald (Margaret Carey) and Patrick (Mary); his nieces and nephews, Tracey Girard, Catherine Bustamante (Rod), Steven Micallef, Philip Carey (Jessica), Maureen Barclay (Michael), Janet Carey, Michael Moore, Caroline Van Lith (Jeff), Julie Moore and Lydia Moore; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Darnell Girard, Victoria Bustamante, Andrew Bustamante, Laura Barclay, Caitlin Barclay, Lochlan Lith and Reese Van Lith; and his son Dashwood.
