Rieka Bertens Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rieka Bertens (London, Ontario), who passed away on November 20, 2018, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her spouse Frank Bertens; and her sons, Andrew and Edward. She is survived by: her children, Mary (Greg McNeil), Judy Ann (Jeff Sadler), Linda (Steve Delany), Pauline (Joseph VanDerVelden), Richard (Carolynn Johnston), Robert (Melanie Antal) and Irene (Paul Johnson); and her siblings, Annie Bertens, Gerry Bertens, Anne of Kort, Lucy, John Van Haaren, Tiny Bertens, Zus Kasteren, Leo Van Kasteren, Piet of Kort, Rien and Ria of Kort. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Memorial donations may be made to the Ed Bertens Memorial Award at University of Guelph, Ridgetown Campus or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
