He was predeceased by: his siblings, Fred and Ruth; his siblings-in-law, Jean Saunders and Ross Saunders; and his nephew James Saunders.

He is survived by: his wife Estelle (Wall); his children, Mary Anne Aldred (Pierre L'Abbé) of Toronto, Christopher Aldred of Bothwell and Janice Van Dasler (Rob) of London; his grandchildren, Matthew, Simone, Geneviève, Andrew and Ian; his brother Donald Aldred; and his nieces and nephews, David Aldred (Lisa), Rob Aldred, Julie Conley (Greg), John Saunders (Karen) and Barb Axford (Dale).
