He was predeceased by: his daughter Susan La Chance (late Maurice); and his granddaughter Tara Claxton (Mugford). He is survived by: his wife Doreen Claxton; and his children, Karen Fleury (Ed), Allan Claxton (Alma) and Laurie Vibert (John). He is also survived by his several nieces and nephews.
